Banyana Banyana qualified for the African Women's Cup of Nations after thrashing Lesotho 6-0 in the second leg of their qualifier on Sunday afternoon.

The South Africans had a slight advantage coming into the encounter, having won the first leg 1-0 on Wednesday.

The hosts got off to the perfect start as Nothando Vilakazi picked out Jermaine Seoposenwe, who fired home from close range after just two minutes.

Three minutes later, the lead was doubled as the Botswana goalkeeper fumbled Kgaelebane Mohlakoana's shot into the path of Chantelle Essau, who made no mistake from close range.

Essau had the ball in the back of the net once again after 20 minutes, but her strike was flagged offside.
