After Bafana Bafana clinched the bronze medal at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations, star midfielder Teboho Mokoena discussed where he feels their coach places in South Africa's history books.
Bafana beat DR Congo in a penalty shootout in the third-place fixture at Afcon last Saturday, while Mokoena was hailed as one of the best players in the tournament despite missing two penalties in shootouts.

"I think everyone has spoken a lot about the coach, I won't say much but I believe he is the best coach, no disrespect to the other coaches. But he is the best coach we have had in the past 24 years," he added.
Furthermore, Mokoena was delighted to have his own record remain intact as he has now reached the semis at various junior levels and now senior team level so he enthuses that the progress is "generational".
"Like I told you in my last interview, I never came to an Afcon and left before the semi-finals so, it's under-20, 23 and Bafana, so it's generational," he said.
The team's performances, which captured the hearts of many fans back home, after years of disappointment and inconsistency in qualifying for major tournaments.
South Africa's main objective is to qualify for the 2026 Fifa World Cup, from a qualifying group which includes Nigeria, the very team that knocked them out of the Afcon semis.
Bafana will next be in action against Andorra and Algeria in friendly fixtures scheduled toward the end of March.
