Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau has received criticism from legends and fans since he's failed to score in open play during the Africa Cup of Nations so far.
Tau also missed a penalty when South Africa lost 2-0 to Mali in their opening fixture, but then the former Mamelodi Sundowns star did score from the spot when Bafana beat Namibia 4-0.

Supporters were expecting to finally see the best of Tau against the Super Eagles in the semi-finals but when placed in good positions, his close control let him down and the South African was unable to threaten Nigeria keeper Stanley Nwabali.
One such legend who has discussed the situation is former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela.
"If you know Percy, he likes to go out on the left, cut inside and take a shot. He did that even at Mamelodi Sundowns when they played in Korea, he has done that several times for his club," Komphela told GameOn on Radio2000.
"But unfortunately, in this Afcon, he really didn't give us the Percy that we know, it could be for many reasons, one may never know it could be the heat, new players, structure, there are a lot of factors that we have to look at," added the mentor.
Komphela hinted that the Al Ahly star might be lacking in confidence going into Afcon.
"You would expect a confident Percy to score, not forgetting he had an opportunity to convert a penalty and missed but came back because he is strong mentally and scored that penalty," he said.
Bafana have revived their international reputation with their outstanding performances at Afcon in the Ivory Coast which saw them go all the way to the final weekend.
After a 1-1 scoreline, South Africa's semi-final clash with Nigeria went to penalties where the Super Eagles eventually triumphed. This means Bafana will participate against DR Congo for the bronze medal on Saturday night.
Tau will have this one last opportunity to score in open play and silence the doubters.
