After Bafana Bafana had missed out on a spot in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, the team has been hailed for going further than expected and midfielder Sphephelo Sithole is already turning his attention to the next Afcon.
Having been a mainstay in the team, the Portugal-based player believes that the experience gained by the squad will stand them in good stead to go all the way in Morocco 2025.

"It is because like many people before gave us no chance to go this far in this tournament, but given how we've done I think we've brought back the love of football in our country so I think from now on we need to take it from here upwards.
"Of course, I think we've shown we're capable of beating everyone and anyone in this tournament. I think we are going to come back with the strong mentality that's going to help us even more and maybe win the next Afcon," Sithole stated.
Captain and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams was delighted with the support from back home and hopes the inspired Afcon following improves South African football further where fans start filling stadiums again.
"It was heartfelt, we felt it, we felt the support on social media, platforms have been going crazy in the last few weeks or so and we've seen every message of support of encouragement," Williams said when speaking to SAFA media.
"This is what I've been crying for the last year or so, it's for the public to get behind the team but in saying that it's about the results which we got now. Hopefully, this can be a relationship that we can build, we need their support, we need them to fill stadiums," he continued.
Bafana have a date with the Democratic Republic of Congo in the third/fourth place playoff fixture on Saturday.
