Percy Tau Is Full Steam Ahead For Bafana Bafana
It's been a busy season for Percy Tau as he jetted back and forth between Belgium and South Africa, but the talented Bafana Bafana star is still raring to go in Egypt. Read: Why Bafana Couldn't Take Dolly Risk… While Stuart Baxter hasn't named his final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations that begins later this month, Tau's name is likely to be one of the first names on the head coach's list when he's deciding which 23 will be making the trip to North Africa. Tau, who had an impressive campaign as he got 13 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian second division, will be seen as one of Bafana's key players when they go up against Ivory Coast, and he says that he's ready for the challenge despite his busy year. Speaking to SAFA as the team continue to train at Steyn City in Johannesburg, the 25-year-old said, "The most important thing is to look after yourself. My body has become adjusted to this rigorous schedule of professional football… It has been a good year for me in Belgium, what I have done and what the team has done; lots of positives.
