Molefi Ntseki's Message To South Africa Regarding The COVID-19 Lockdown

Players and coaches around South Africa have all been doing their part in urging the public to adhere to the measures set in place in this difficult time.

South Africa is currently on day six of the nationwide lockdown as the COVID-19 continues to spread across the country.

So far, 39500 tests have been conducted, with 1353 positive cases, five deaths and 31 recoveries.

Speaking to the South African Football Association, Bafana Bafana Head Coach Molefi Ntseki has urged the nation to adhere to all instructions handed down by the authorities to help flatten the curve.

"Coronavirus has been declared the world's deadliest disease. As the declaration from President Cyril Ramaphosa to observe social distancing and apply all health measures that needs to be taken to prevent the spread of this virus, I urge all South Africans to adhere and support the government when it comes to lockdown and it's measures," Ntseki said.

"The spread of this virus needs to be contained; we have to observe the highest standards of hygiene, by washing hands regularly and using hand sanitizers, all that is important is for us to stay at home for our own safety and our own welfare. The success of bringing down the risk of contracting COVID-19 relies on the effort of every South African. Let us work together, let us work for the common goal, a common objective, keep well, keep safe and keep healthy," he added.
