Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has commented on the selection of goalkeeper Veli Mothwa, who made a costly error against Uganda.
The South Africans started their qualifying campaign with a point after debutant Thalente Mbatha netted an equaliser in stoppage time.

Mothwa was playing his first competitive match since last season and committed a handling error for the Cranes' second goal.
When asked if he regrets selection Mothwa, Broos told SABC Sport, "This is something you can say now, maybe I should have done this, maybe I should have done that.
"But you never know, maybe if you start with the team of the second-half and we have the same game and then there is a question, why we didn't play with the guys who play normally?" Broos said.
"So I'm just really happy with the reaction of the team when it was 2-1, one point is better than defeat."
Bafana will be away to South Sudan on Tuesday in matchday two of the qualifiers.
"No excuse, it will be tough again, we know that, on a synthetic field, it won't be easy but if we show the character and the motivation that we showed after the 2-1," he added.
"I think we have to win in South Sudan."
