Bafana Bafana arrived home to a hero's welcome on Wednesday morning; however, SAFA President Dr. Danny Jordaan was coy over the financial remuneration the bronze medallists would receive.

It appears that the finer details of Bafana Bafana's bonus structures following their 2023 AFCON heroics will remain between the Association and their players – for now!
This after Dr. Jordaan would not divulge any information on payments the players are yet to receive, discussed at a media briefing at the O.R Tambo International Airport.
It is understood the players would receive $2.5 million (±R46.9 million) from CAF, which would see each player walk away with at least $52 000 (R1 million) though Jordaan would not confirm or deny it.
"We don't know," Jordaan said.
"We must wait on CAF. The tournament ended yesterday, you want the results already? CAF will let us know when they are ready. The players know what they've agreed, and you must ask them.
"That is something that we must discuss and finalize with the players first and whether they disclose to you (the public) or not is their business. It is their money, their income and they will decide whether they will disclose with you or not," he continued.
