A young defender who recently left Kaizer Chiefs has joined Sekhukhune United and will play for their DStv Diski Challenge side.
Kehaan Arends, who is a left-footed centre back, was with Amakhosi's Diski Challenge squad, but has left the side to form part of Sekhukhune's reserve team side. This was confirmed to the Siya crew by the player's representitives at ProAthlete Management Agency.
"He got his clearance from Chiefs and he has joined Sekhukhune," director Warren Swartz told the Siya crew.
ProAthlete, meanwhile, has partnered with 6mo9 sportswear, which is owned by former Namibian international football, Alfred Ndyenge. ProAthlete and 6mo9 sportswear are in line to set up a local manufacturing plant in South Africa to supply and produce items locally. The plans are underway to have the plant launch in South Africa in the near future.
The Siya crew has been informed that there are talks of the brand sponsoring one of the DStv Premiership sides in KZN.
