"Messi will listen to us and see our intentions. Messi knows that we have a competitive project. It is essential that he continues. Our intention is to talk about it with him. The important thing is that there is light at the end of the tunnel and there are elections soon." – Victor Font, September 2020
"Today, with the economic situation, it's complicated. But when you see that he wants to leave, it tickles you." – PSG sporting director Leonardo, September 2020.
So, do I think Messi is going to join last season's Champions League finalists because of calls from Neymar and Paredes for that to happen? No. But the French giants, right now, would undeniably offer him the best chance of winning Europe's greatest club trophy, a chance to continue scoring goals, a chance to enjoy the latter stages of his career while remaining competitive. It would be bitterly disappointing to see Messi leave Barcelona after so many glorious years, but he has given football 16 years of memories that will last a lifetime; the least we can do is accept whatever decision he makes.
