Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes that one of his current stars is a mixture of Zinedine Zidane and Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario.
Balotelli Chooses Between Real Barca
France international Karim Benzema has come under fire recently, with former FC Barcelona striker Gary Lineker labelling him as "overrated".
However, Perez, who is a big admirer of the 29-year-old, has insisted he could not care less what critics have to say about his striker.
"I don't mind what Lineker said, I don't care," Perez said, as quoted by El Partidazo de Cope.
"What happens is that people judge Benzema just on the amount of goals he scores.
"I always say that Benzema is a cross between Zidane and Ronaldo Nazario. He scores goals like Ronaldo and has the touch of Zidane; he is a luxury.
"Against Eibar, he came on and provided us with a footballing masterpiece in the goal for Marcelo. After the game against Eibar, some people called me and said: But how can you criticise Benzema? That Marcelo goal is spectacular, but especially for the part of the Frenchman.
"To those who believe that Benzema is a different type of player, I tell them to go and watch the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid and see the dribble that took three players away from the game, before providing the assist for Isco."
Zidane On Benzema Being Labelled "Overrated"
Benzema has made nine appearances for Real so far this season, scoring two goals and assisting a further two strikes.
