The new coach has told Gonzalo Higuain he is not in his plans, and the Argentine forward is expected to join David Beckham's Inter Miami soon.
Pirlo has reportedly put pressure on the Bianconeri's bosses to sign a replacement after their friendly against Novara this week.
"I need an attacker as soon as possible, but the market is long, it will last until the start of October, we have time to work," he said, as quoted by juvefc.com.
Suarez was said to be the club's No. 1 target, but the Barcelona star is struggling to agree the terms of his exit with the Blaugrana, while reports suggest that he would also have to do an Italian language test as well.
Time is understood to be running out for the completion of the latter, and it is becoming more and more unlikely that Suarez will join Juve.
Edin Dzeko is believed to be the next name on the list, with the 34-year-old understood to be keen to join from AS Roma.

Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik is another forward linked with the Old Lady, but he could also end up at Roma if Juventus sign Dzeko.
Moise Kean is the fourth name on the list. He left the Italian side to join Everton ahead of the 2019/20 campaign but has struggled to convince in England since.
