After recalling Delron Buckley's brace against Bayern Munich in 2005 earlier in the week, today we look at every SA star who has plied their trade in Germany.
The Durban-born winger made his debut for VfL Bochum in 1995, and went on to represent them 110 times in Germany's top flight.
After nine seasons with Bochum, he joined Arminia Bielefeld, where he experienced his most successful Bundesliga campaign, netting 15 times, including a brace against Bayern Munich's Oliver Kahn.
Remember to check this week's Bundesliga Connection with Kres Harrington, who recalls a nice anecdote from Buckley's time at BVB:
He then joined Borussia Dortmund, making 62 appearances in four years. Overall, Buckley featured 201 times in the Bundesliga, scoring 26 goals and assisting another 25 strikes.
Steven Pienaar is another SA star who ran out for Dortmund. He was signed as replacement for the departed Tomas Rosicky and was given the No. 10 shirt in 2006.
However, he struggled at BVB and left the club after just one campaign to join Everton, initially on loan and later permanently.

Glenn Jordens, though, was the first Mzansi player to play in the Bundesliga. He helped SV Darmstadt 98 gain promotion to Germany's top tier in 1981 and made eight Bundesliga appearances the following season.
Other notable South African players who featured in the Bundesliga are Sibusiso Zuma and former Chiefs trio Siyabonga Nkosi, Rowen Fernandez and Bradley Carnell – you can see all 10 SA stars who have played in Germany's top flight in the gallery above!
