SO, NOW, HUNT IS THE CHIEF

I had reservations about Hunt appointed a Chiefs’ coach due to his utterances against the team. Now that he got a nod there is only one thing to do – support him. He must know though that now he coaches – a team – to beat; when a player scores against he trends, a referee makes a decision that favors it, it is said it benefits; when it favors the other team, it’s human error; when its player is kicked, it’s a men’s game but when they kick the other player they shout card, when their fixture is tight they are considered having advantage as they are sharp, but when they do not play a lot, they are said to be rested. He must be ready to be criticized and ridiculed by some black coaches and some hosts of radio and TV sport shows just as they did to Komphela the moment he became a Chiefs’ coach and only loved him after leaving. He is a very good coach. If he can survive this experience and win things with Chiefs, he will rate amongst the great coaches as he has succeeded where odds really are. We wish him trophies.
