The South African Football Association (SAFA) has filled the position of Chief Executive Officer that has been vacant for some time.
After being appointed as the acting CEO of SAFA in May last year, Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe has now been made permanent on the role.

When he took over the reins last year, Motlanthe succeeded Gay Mokoena who had also been the acting CEO.
Motlanthe had been competing with former SuperSport CEO Happy Ntshingila and ex-Banyana Banyana captain Lydia Monyepao for the SAFA top role.

In a virtual press conference hosted at SAFA House by the association's president Danny Jordaan on Friday, it has been confirmed that Motlanthe is the new CEO.
