According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club have heldformal talks with the family of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
The striker was close to joining Manchester United at the start of the season, but due to his club's transfer ban, he decided against the move.
Since then, Barca have reportedly made their interest in the Frenchman clear, though it is unknown as to when the Spanish giants will table a formal bid for the player.
Atletico manager Diego Simeone recently admitted he would not get in the way of Griezmann leaving the club.
