AmaZulu FC haven't started their 2021/22 season very well as the club is yet to record a win in all competitions.
The Durban-based side was knocked out of the MTN8 by Cape Town City, lost to Mamelodi Sundowns and drew with Swallows FC at home before losing to Nyasa Big Bullets in the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.
After finishing runners up to DStv Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns last season, the side is yet to score, which is concerning for their supporters.
Former PSL defender Phelelani Mpangase says Usuthu's biggest challenge right now is struggling to come up with new strategies.
"I don't think they've done very well and it seems like they will continue to struggle, because it looks like they are still using thr same approach that made them succeed last season," Mpangase told the Siya crew.
"If they don't try to change their approach and come up with new strategies, they will struggle. This happened to Maritzburg United under coach Fadlu Davids.
"He did well in his first season, they even went to the Nedbank Cup final but the following campaign they struggled, which saw him lose his job, and they found themselves in the relegation zone.
"So I believe Coach Benni McCarthy needs to spice things up a bit, change tactics because teams are really planning around them and they know where to hurt them."
