Denmark boss, Morten Olsen, has wished England sarcastically 'good luck' for the upcoming World Cup, following his side's 1-0 defeat against the three Three Lions last night.
Olsen called England's young team 'promising' after seeing his side beaten by a late Daniel Sturridge goal at Wembley, but was unable to offer many positives for England boss, Roy Hodgson, ahead of the tournament in Brazil this summer.
"Good luck in the World Cup - you will need it," Olsen said.
"I think that England have a young team with a lot of quickness - it's promising for the future but is it enough for the World Cup?
"I think we would have won if Christian Eriksen was playing."
His England counterpart, Roy Hodgson, was quick to respond to Olsen and defended his side, which featured a number of players with limited international experience.
When told of Olsen's comments, Hodgson said: "I don't care about that. Every team will need good luck. We didn't need it tonight, that's for sure.
"This was an important game. It was important we put in a good performance.
"I wanted a level of energy, players running back when they lost the ball, making tackles from the wrong side, not being afraid to make mistakes knowing, with their pace, they can recover.
"That's what I did see and we put the icing on the cake with the goal to win it."
The England boss gave 18-year-old Luke Shaw his national team debut in the second half, and with Rahim Sterling another 18-year-old only had his second call up. Ten of the 17 players Hodgson used last night were 25 or younger.
The Three Lions face Uruguay, Italy and Costa Rica in their World Cup group.
