Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against Spain, which saw him set a new World Cup record in the process.

The Real Madrid forward started his World Cup with a bang after netting a hat-trick against La Roja in their 3-3 draw on Friday evening.
In doing so, Ronaldo became the oldest player to score a hat-trick at the World Cup at the age of 31.

Ronaldo's third goal on the night came from a free-kick, which was also the first time he had scored a free-kick at a World Cup in 45 attempts.

Ronaldo and Portugal will now turn their attention to Morocco for their next Group B clash.
