Kaizer Chiefs youngster, Wiseman Meyiwa looked promising in his first game for the team after being promoted from Chiefs development system. Unlike other youngsters who waited untill they get loaned out, Meyiwa was thrown into the deep end by Steve Komphela and didn't disappoint.
After his good performance, the boy's name was in the headlines for the wrong reasons. He is accused of age-cheating. So far no one has valid proof of the boy's original age. This negativity could dent his confidence and even if he did no wrong. Bad publicity kills well known and experienced footballers, so how much more to an inexperienced kid whose just 17?
All i say is, hands off Meyiwa, he's not stealing SASSA money, he's just showcasing his talent. To all prophets of identity bring your proof or shut-up. Your jealousy is annoying. It's been awhile since we last seen youngsters like Kyle of Bucs and Meyiwa of Chiefs. Stop distracting our youngsters.
What is your thought on Meyiwa's age-cheating accusation?
