Germany coach Joachim Low has announced his final 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, cutting four names from his provisional selection.

The defending champions lost 2-1 to Austria on Saturday, a game in which Low gave a few of his squad players a final chance to shine.
It was also Manuel Neuer's first match since September 2017, and it has been confirmed that Die Mannschaft's captain, who missed large parts of the 2017/18 campaign due to injury, has made Low's squad for Russia. The Germany boss has previously indicated that Neuer will also be his first-choice keeper for the tournament if he made the cut.
Low surprised many by cutting Manchester City's Leroy Sane, the 2017/18 Premier League Young Player of the Season, and insisted it was a hard decision decided by a "photo finish".
The Germans will face Saudi Arabia in their final preparation game on Friday, before starting their World Cup against Mexico on 17 June. Korea Republic and Sweden are the other two sides in their group.

Germany are still winless in 2018, with their last victory coming in October 2017.
