FC Barcelona superstar Gerard Pique has revealed the three toughest strikers he has faced in his career, and, surprisingly, teammate Lionel Messi didn't make the list.
Xavi: Messi Play Like Me? What A Load Of Balls!
The Spanish defender was recently asked to name the most formidable opponents he has come up against so far, and three players clearly stood out for him.
Pique named former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the most difficult players he has had to mark, along with African star Didier Drogba and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
"One of them was Drogba – one of the best strikers I have seen. He had everything. Pace, really strong, good in the air – he was amazing," Pique said in a video on Unscriptd.
"The other one was Cristiano Ronaldo. I had to face him a lot of times and he's one of the best players in history.
"He's really complete, he knows how to score, assist, shoot free-kicks, penalties. He can do everything.
"Lewandowski is another. He's tall, can use both legs. It's really hard to mark this kind of player. You don't know what they will do."
Pique has made 36 appearances for Barcelona this season, scoring four goals along the way.
