DFB Pokal Result: Bayern Munich 2-0 Werder Bremen Date: 19 April 2016 Venue: Allianz Arena Bayern Munich booked their place in the DFB Pokal final after a 2-0 victory over Werder Bremen on Tuesday. The visitors had an early chance as Yatabare went close in the fifth minute. The midfielder cut in from the left and fired a low shot just wide of the near post. However, it was Die Roten who scored the first goal in the 30th minute. A corner kick from the right found Thomas Muller and his header into the ground beat Wiedwald to nestle in the back of the net. Manuel Neuer was almost caught out just before the inter when he sent a lazy clearance towards Yatabare who saw the goalkeeper off his line and attempted to lift it over him, but the gloveman saved. In the 70th minute the hosts were awarded a penalty to give them a chance of securing their advantage. Arturo Vidal came off the bench and made an immediate impact as he sped into the box before being brought down. Muller stepped up to slot the spot-kick. Bremen had a chance in stoppage time to pull one back but Kleinheisier sliced his effort wide from the edge of the area.
