Robert Lewandowski bagged a hat-trick as Bayern Munich thumped Hamburg 8-0 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.
Carlo Ancelotti made two changes for the encounter as Javi Martinez and Robert Lewandowski were brought into the line up, as Joshua Kimmich and Juan Bernat dropped to the bench.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 17 minutes as Thomas Muller turned well before teeing up Arturo Vidal, who drilled a low effort past Rene Adler.
Bayern were awarded a penalty after 24 minutes when Muller was brought down in the box. Lewandowski stepped up and calmly slotted home the spot-kick, 2-0.
Ancelotti's charges doubled their charges on the stroke of halftime, as Lewandowski bagged his second goal with a fine volley from close range.
Lewandowski completed his hat-trick 10 minutes into the second half as the Polish striker turned home Arjen Robben's flick.
Bayern grabbed their fifth goal in the 56th minute as Muller picked up another assist by teeing up David Alaba for the simple tap in.
Kingsly Coman was introduced after the hour-mark and got on the score-sheet moments later, with a calm finish from close range after an error for Djourou.
Coman was not done there as the Frenchman latched onto a loose ball before showing great composure to slot into the bottom corner.
Robben rounded off the scoring in the 87th minute as the Dutchman latched onto a pass from Douglas Costa, before firing into the bottom corner, 8-0.
