The XI, selected by a panel of CAF 'experts' chose Vilakazi alongside five Ivorian players following the Ivory Coast's dramatic penalty shootout win on Sunday night.
Six different nations are represented in the XI, however the Player of the Tournament, Christian Atsu, was strangely excluded by the CAF panel.
Vilakazi and Cameroon's Henri Bedimo both made the team despite the fact that neither South Africa nor the Indomitable Lions made it out of the group stages of this year's tournament.
