Afcon 2017 Qualifier Report: Namibia 0-2 Senegal 5 September 2015
Afcon 2017 Qualifier   Result: Namibia 0-2 Senegal   Date: 5 September 2015   Venue: Sam Nujoma Stadium   Senegal consolidated their place at the top of Group K after a 2-0 win over Namibia in an Afcon 2017 qualifier on Saturday.   Namibia started the game brightly as they aimed to bounce back from their defeat to Niger in their opening qualifying clash.   Peter Shalulile had the hosts' best chance of the game in the 33rd minute but he sent his shot crashing into the woodwork.   In the 35th minute it was the Lions of Teranga who took the lead as West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate beat goalkeeper Virgil Vries to find the back of the net with a header.   The result was secured 12 minutes after the interval thanks to Sadio Mane who rifled one home from the edge of the box.   Senegal will travel to South Africa to face Bafana Bafana in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on September 8.
