The Italian club made a statement early on in the campaign when they beat defending champions Liverpool 2-0 at home, but, overall, they have won only six of their past 12 games at the Stadio San Paolo in Europe's elite club competition.
Barca, meanwhile, have won just six of their past 16 away matches in the Champions League, but progressed from 13 of their past 15 round of 16 clashes.
Lionel Messi comes into the game on the back of a four-goal performance against Eibar, but has scored only two goals in this season's Champions League so far – his lowest return in the group stage in 10 years.
