Tottenham Hotspur bowed out of the UEFA Champions League after a crushing 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening in Germany.
Spurs looked to avenge the first-leg defeat, as Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon and Giovanni Lo Celso came in for the injury hit squad.
Leipzig though extended their overall tally in tie when captain Marcel Sabitzer's low shot from the area trickled into the bottom corner, despite the efforts of Hugo Lloris ten minutes in.
Jose Mourinho's side searched for a route back however a speculative attempt from Lucas Moura off Lo Celso's corner later on was their only decent threat.
Leipzig had a second goal minutes later with a simple tap-in from Timo Werner, but he was flagged for offside after being step ahead of the defence as the visitors lived another day.
The Germans weren't denied at the midway point after Sabitzer arrived at the near post to turn home Angelino's inch-perfect cross following Serge Aurier's poor defensive clearance.
Spurs looked to hit back just before halftime, but Leipzig goalkeper Peter Gulacsi stretched wide to palm Lo Celso's bottom curler to safety whilst Lloris got down to deny Werner at the other end.
Leipzig suffered a set back early in the second half with Nordi Mukiele stretchered off following a collision and was replaced by Tyler Adams.
The Premier League outfit remained on the back foot as the Bundesliga outfit continued to find openings wit Patrick Schick going over the top from a pinpoint ball.
Emil Forsberg replaced the evening's two-goal hero Sabitzer in the final three minutes, as Julian Nagelsmann searched for a third.
Leipzig put the final nail in the coffin after Forsberg- within seconds from entering- curled home a loose ball from inside the area to seal a 3-0 win on the night and a 4-0 win on aggregate.
