Liverpool secured progression to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig in the second leg on Wednesday evening.
Diogo Jota joined Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the attack while Fabinho was moved into the midfield alongside the returning Thiago Alcantara.
The Bundesliga, trailing by two goals, nearly shocked the Reds inside the opening 10 minutes after Daniel Olmo found some space in the box but goalkeeper Alisson Becker was equal to the effort with a neat save.
The Reds should have taken the lead on 23 minutes when Thiago sent Salah through on goal but the Egyptian was unable to beat Peter Gulacsi in a one-on-one situation.
Salah's frustration continued to rise a few minutes later as the Egyptian blazed over the crossbar from 10 yards out after being picked out by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Leipzig regain control of the game late in the first half, but were unable to find a way past Alisson while Jota squandered a big chance on the stroke of half, firing into the side-netting with the net gaping.
Julian Nagelsmann's charges came out firing in the second stanza, which nearly resulted in the opening goal as Alexander Sorloth saw his header crash against the crossbar on 64 minutes.
Leipzig were made to rue that miss as Liverpool opened the scoring six minutes later as Mane and Jota combined to set up Salah, who cut on to left before burying the ball into the bottom corner.
Mane got his name on the scoresheet minutes later with a first-time finish at the far post after getting on the end of Divock Origi's pin-point cross.
The two quick-fire goals took the wind out of Leipzig's sail as the Reds held on to claim another clean sheet to secure a spot in the quarter-finals.
