Result: Inter Milan 4-3 FC Barcelona (7-6 aggregate)
Date: 06 May 2025
Venue: Sna Siro
The tie was evenly poised heading into the second leg after the two sides played to a scintillating 3-3 draw during the first leg in Spain last week.
Inter were boosted by the news that captain Lautaro Martinez was able to recover from a hamstring injury, while Barcelona continued with Ferran Torres upfront as top scorer Robert Lewandowski was only fit enough to make the bench.
The Serie A got the breakthrough on 21 minutes when Dumfries did well to pull the ball back for Martinez, who kept his composure and slotted past Wojciech Szczesny.

While Barca struggled to carve out a chance, Inter were awarded a penalty on the stroke of halftime for Pau Cubarsi's foul on Martinez following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) check. Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up and calmly dispatched the spot-kick to double the lead.
However, Barcelona got themselves back in the contest ten minutes after the break when Gerard Martin picked out Eric Garcia, who found the top corner with a lovely first-time finish in the box.
The visitors went on to level matters on the hour mark as Martin turned provider once again with a superb cross for Dani Olmo, who sent a powerful header past Sommer to make it 5-5 on aggregate.
Barcelona completed the turnaround with five minutes left on the clock as Raphinha lashed home a right-footed finish in the box to put the Spanish side ahead in the tie.
Inter, however, sent the game to extra-time when Francesco Acerbi raced into the box and latched onto a cross from Dumfries before rifling the ball beyond Szczesny.
The Italian giants took the lead nine minutes into the extra-time when a well-worked passing move ended with Mehdi Taremi teeing up Davide Frattesi, who calmly slotted into the far corner with Szczesny left flat-footed, which ultimately sealed their spot in the final.
