Following the spread of the coronavirus in Europe, UEFA could reportedly be forced to postpone the upcoming European Championship, while Champions League matches could suffer the same fate.
Italy's government has suspended Serie A and B until 3 April to allow the country, which has been placed under lockdown, to tackle the health crisis.
Various other leagues have confirmed that several games will played behind closed doors, among them Paris Saint-Germain vs Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich vs Chelsea and LASK vs Manchester United.
In addition, the upcoming derby between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 is one of several Bundesliga games that will be played without fans present in the stands, while LaLiga has announced that all matches in the next two gameweeks will be played behind closed doors.

Things could go from bad to worse, though, as UEFA are now considering suspending the Champions League and Europa League after the current round of fixtures are completed, according to Catalunya Radio.
The second legs of the UCL's round of 16 ties are set to take place over the next two weeks starting today, while the UEL last 16 first and second legs were scheduled to be played over the same period.
The first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals were due to be played on 7 and 8 April, but it remains to be seen whether or not Europe's affected countries can get the spread of the virus under control by then.
The upcoming 2020 European Championship, which is supposed to start on 12 June, could also be postponed to 2021 in order to allow domestic leagues to catch up on their postponed games, according to Football Italia.
Meanwhile, the domestic leagues in China, Japan and Switzerland have already been suspended, while a number of Asian Champions League matches have been postponed as well.
