The Premier League leaders defeated the Bundesliga side at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of their quarter-final tie, and while the game had many talking points, it was what happened after the clash that has grabbed most of the headlines.
As the players walked down the tunnel, one of the linesmen appeared to ask Haaland for his signature as the Norwegian headed for the dressing room, something that has not been seen very often in professional football.
Asked about the incident after the game, Guardiola said he did not take issue with the assistant requesting Haaland's autograph.
"They told me – I didn't see it. Maybe he's a fan of Haaland, so why not?" he said, according to Goal.
"Maybe it was for his son and daughter. I've never seen it before, but they did a good job.
"The referees were brilliant, the game was not a problem so it's not a penalty after the VAR, people told me it was not a penalty.
