Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he feels a lot differently about the video assistant referee (VAR) system now than when it was initially introduced.
The VAR was kept busy during the Reds' 1-1 draw with Midtjylland in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, which saw several interventions from the system.
After the game, Klopp admitted he took issue with the length of the time it took for the match's VAR to come to his decisions, and that he does not necessarily feel as positive about the system as he did when it was first introduced to football.
"It just took too long," he said, according to Goal.
"I didn't see it back, if they were right or if they were difficult (decisions) to make, but it took three or four minutes, and in the cold for the boys, it's really hard.
"I can already hear people saying, 'My God, is he talking about that again?' but it took a really long time and it was really cold. That doesn't help!
"I used to be one of the people who said, 'Yes, VAR is a good idea' but I'm really not sure if I would say that again, to be honest. Now we have it, and now we have to deal with it."
Liverpool advanced from Group D as leader of their table, with Atalanta the other side to have secured a place in first knockout round of the 2020/21 tournament.
