The 20-year-old netted a brace in Borussia Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the second leg of their round of 16 tie this week, a result that saw BVB progress to the quarter-finals of the competition with a 5-4 aggregate scoreline.
As a consequence, the Norwegian forward has now scored 10 goals in this season's Champions League – four more than anyone else – and also took his overall tally in the tournament to 20 strikes.
Haaland also became the quickest player to reach 20 goals in the competition, breaking the previous record set by Harry Kane in 10 fewer matches.
The man of the hour needed only 14 UCL appearances to reach the 20-goal mark, while Kane scored his first 20 Champions League strikes in 24 matches.
Haaland is also far ahead of the game's current superstars too, with Robert Lewandowski needing 36 games to hit 20 UCL goals, Neymar 38, Lionel Messi 40 and Kylian Mbappe 40, while the competition's all-time record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo took 56 games to score his first 20 Champions League strikes.
