Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the 500th goal of his career for club and country in just 753 games – and also the 501st, as he quickly pointed out.

Ronaldo's brace in the 2-0 Champions League win over Malmo took his overall tally for clubs and Portugal to 501 goals.
The Portuguese now sits on 323 goals for Real Madrid, joining Raul as the club's all-time record scorer. In addition, he has scored 118 goals for Manchester United, 55 for Portugal and five for Sporting Lisbon.
After the game, Ronaldo was congratulated by a reporter, who said: "You have reached 500 goals… ", but the Portuguese quickly pointed out: "501, I think."
Of his 501 goals, Ronaldo scored 326 with his right foot, 90 with his left foot, 83 with his head and two with other body parts. In terms of where on the pitch they were scored, 418 came from inside the box, 83 from outside the box, while 81 were penalties and 45 were free-kicks.
