AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed why he made a certain teammate take off his gloves before making his debut for the club.

French defender Pierre Kalulu broke into Milan's first team in December last year, making his first senior appearance in a 1-0 away win over Sparta Praha in the UEFA Europa League.

The 20-year-old, according to Ibrahimovic, wanted to take to the field in a pair of gloves, perhaps due to the cold temperatures in the Czech Republic, but the Swede has revealed he would not let him.

"Some weeks ago, Pierre Kalulu made his debut with AC Milan and he was wearing gloves," he told CorSport.

"I told him to take them off! How does a young centre-back look making his debut with gloves?

"For sure he's not going to scare the striker."
