Ten-man Inter Milan missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Juventus at the top of the log after drawing 3-3 with Sassuolo.

Francesco Caputo gave the visitors an early lead as Inter came from behind to take a 2-1 lead thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Cristiano Biraghi late in the firstt stanza.

Domenico Berardi equalised for Sassuolo in the last nine minutes but only for Borja Valero to give Antonio Conte's charges a 3-2 lead four minutes before time.

However, Giangiacomo Magnani made it 3-3 for the visitors in the last minute, as the hosts finished the game with ten men after Milan Skriniar got his second yellow card deep in stoppage time.

Title-chasing Lazio damaged their chances of catching up with leaders Juventus after squandering a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to Atalanta at Gewiss Stadium.

An own goal from Marten de Roon and a solitary strike from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the first 11 minutes put Lazio in the driving seat but the hosts pulled a goal back through Robin Gosens before half-time while Ruslan Malinovsky and Jose Palomino completed the comeback in the second stanza to overtake the visitors.

Lazio missed the chance to go within one point of Juventus in second place while Atalanta solidified their UEFA Champions League spot in fourth.

AS Roma kept their chances of challenging for the UEFA Champions League places alive after coming from behind to beat Sampdoria 2-1 at Stadio Olimpico.

Manolo Gabbiadini gave Sampdoria an early lead in the first stanza but only for Edin Dzeko to net a second-half brace to seal three points for Roma.

Roma remain in fifth place with, six points behind fourth-placed Atalanta while Sampdoria had to settle for the 16th spot, just a point above the relegation zone both after 27 matches.
