Serie A

Result: Juventus 3-0 Frosinone

Date: 15 February 2019

Venue: Allianz Stadium

Cristiano Ronaldo played a starring role as Juventus thrashed Frosinone 3-0 to move 14 points clear at the top of the Serie A standings.

The returning Paulo Dybala grabbed the lead for the hosts in the sixth minute with a sensational strike from long range that gave Frosinone goalkeeper Marco Sportiello no chance, with Ronald picking up the assist.

Leonardo Bonucci doubled the lead for Bianconeri in the over 10 minutes later after reacting the quickest to nod home from close range after Sportiello failed to hold onto Mario Mandzukic's header.

Marco Baroni's charges managed to carve out a couple chances after half-an-hour but they were few and far between, while the Old Lady spurned their opportunities to extend their advantage in the closing stages of the first stanza.

After a quiet opening to the second half, Ronaldo netted Juve's third in the 63rd minute with a clinical first time strike at the near post following a well-worked passing move.

With a UEFA Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid coming up, Allegri opted to withdraw Giorgio Chiellini for Martin Caceres with 14 minutes remaining.

The Old Lady were unable to add to their tally in the remaining stages while they were untroubled at the back as they ran out 3-0 winners to move 14 points clear of second-place Napoli.
