Atalanta strengthened their grip on fourth spot in Serie A with a 2-0 win over Napoli in Bergamo on Thursday evening.
David Ospina replaced Alex Meret in goal with Kalidou Koulibaly and Matteo Politano also given a run, as Atalanta made two changes from the win over Udinese in Martin De Roon and Raphael Gosens.
Napoli had the ball in the back of the net inside seven minutes through Fabian Ruiz, but the effort was ruled for offside with Lorenzo Insigne who supplied pass deemed not in line.
At the other end, Ospina was called to action for the first time in the match, parrying Papu Gomez's low attempt from outside the area around the post.
Gomez was denied yet again by the Colombian shot-stopper after fashioning in a curling free-kick from the left-hand side inside 25 minutes.
Atalanta were unfortunate not to go ahead five minutes to halftime with Raphael Toloi's header scooped off the goal-line with Duvan Zapata unable to bury the follow-up.
The hosts continued holding dominance following the break and eventually hit the front through Mario Pasalic, who turned home a fine delivery from Gomez two minutes in.
Atalanta got a second with 55 minutes gone when neat interplay between Tim Castagne and Toloi played in Gosens, who did the rest with a cool finish.
Ruiz could've put Napoli back in the contest after finding space inside the area for a curling strike, which narrowly missed the near post on 68 minutes.
Gennaro Gattuso went for more firepower after five minutes as Jose Callejon and Stanislav Lobotka entered for Politano and Diego Demme respectively.
That made little impact as the Nerazzurri comfortably managed the final few minutes to collect all the points on offer.
