Juventus got back on track in the title race after handing leaders AC Milan their first defeat of the Serie A season with a 3-1 victory on Wednesday evening.
Adrien Rabiot was recalled alongside a rare start for Gianluca Frabotta for the visitors while Milan made three adjustments, with Theo Hernandez, Samu Castillejo and Jens Hauge all returning.
After a lively start to the encounter, Federico Chiesa came the closest to giving Juventus the lead in the 16th minute with a rocket inside the box that rattled the post.
Chiesa eventually put Andrea Pirlo's charges ahead two minutes later with a clinical low finish across goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma into the bottom corner after an exquisite back-heel by Paulo Dybala sent him through on goal.
However, Davide Calabria levelled matters just before the break with a first-time shot into the top corner after a cut-back by Rafael Leao.
Juventus had a strong start in the second stanza as Chiesa restored the visitors' lead just after the hour-mark with a side-footed strike that found the bottom corner to complete his brace.
The Old Lady came close to going 3-1 up in the last 20 minutes after Cristiano Ronaldo picked out the run of Weston McKennie with a lofted diagonal pass but the latter's shot was crucially saved by Donnarumma.
McKennie finally gave Pirlo's men a two-goal cushion in the last quarter of an hour after sending a low shot into a gaping from close range following a cut-back by fellow substitute Dejan Kulusevski, as the defending league champions ran out 3-1 winners on the day.
As a result, Juventus moved up to fourth on the log, seven points off leaders Rossoneri, with a game in hand.
