According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side will change its badge and name in March as part of a rebranding in order to cater for a wider and more international audience.

It is claimed that the name will change from "Football Club Internazionale Milano" to "Inter Milano", while the club crest will be simplified and will feature the initials "IM".

"The club have been working on a marketing project based on Inter's historical values with the target of approaching their fans and further strengthen the legacy with the city of Milan," Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello told Ansa, as cited by Football Italia.

He reportedly also confirmed that there will be a new badge design, but denied the name change of the club.
