Former Manchester City and Inter Milan star Mario Balotelli has landed a new club for the 2021/22 season after failing to get promotion to Serie A with Monza.

The Italian striker has officially joined Turkish Super Lig side Adana Demirspor on a free transfer after leaving AC Monza when his contract expired.
After suffering play-off disappointment in Serie B with Monza, Balotelli has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Turkish top-flight outfit.

"Today we have completed a transfer that will write its name in the history of our club Adana Demirspor with golden letters," the club's statement read.
"Mario Balotelli has officially signed a three-year contract with our team. 'Super Mario' will now score goals for the blue jersey."
Demirspor will return to the Super Lig for the first time in 26 years this season after winning the second division title on goal difference.
