Official: Inter Milan Launch New 'I Am' Logo

1908-1928

Inter Milan have officially unveiled their new logo, the 16th crest in the club's 113-year history.

Have a look at how the Inter logo has developed over the years in the gallery above!

The Serie A leaders launched their new logo, which focuses on the "I am" expression, on Tuesday, and it will appear on the club's kits from the 2021/22 campaign.

The new logo sees the I and M intertwine with more intense black and blue circles around them.

Here is the official statement explaining the change, per the club's website:

"Inter today presents its new visual identity, which enhances the founding values ??of the Club and strengthens the link with the city of Milan. The launch of the new logo, which will be used starting from the 2021/22 football season, was celebrated by a narrative that, playing with the initials of the Club name, Internazionale and Milano, focuses on the expression IM, from English 'I am'.

"Inter renews its visual identity to open up to an increasingly digital and aesthetic-conscious public, to reach global targets and different age groups, to establish itself as a cultural icon as well as a sporting one. The goal is to make the Inter brand relevant and recognisable not only for the fans, but also to allow a younger and more international audience to identify with the values ??of inclusion, style and innovation that have characterised Inter since its foundation.

"The evolution is strongly inspired by the roots of the Club: the founding values ??of Inter remain at the centre, preserving the historical and emotional spirit with which the most loyal fans identify themselves, and the link with the city of Milan is emphasised. A bond that goes beyond where the Club belongs because Inter embodies the values ??of the city: the international spirit, the propensity for innovation and continuous change without betraying its essence.

"The new logo is presented as a modern reinterpretation of the historic symbol of the Club, in a lighter and more minimal form, in continuity with the original version but more suitable to integrate into the era of entertainment.

"The focus is on the letters I and M, maintained in the arrangement designed by Muggiani and crowned by the classic double circle as per the Nerazzurri tradition. The letters F and C remain in the name and identity of the Club: FC Internazionale Milano. The graphics of the logo are thus lightened and, conceptually, the areas in which Inter can develop are expanded: Football Club but not only. The colours remain those chosen on the night of March 9, 1908, made more vibrant and bright.

"The creation of the new logo was entrusted to the Bureau Borsche team, one of the most important graphic design studios at an international level.

"The new visual identity of the Club is told through a collection of photographs that accompany the narration of the IM expression, 'I am', born with the aim of contextualising the new visual identity of Inter through a contemporary language: IM Football Club Milan International.

"The expression 'I Am' is used to communicate directly the values ??and attitude of the Club but it also becomes the way to describe the essence of every Inter fan without any distinction.

"The IM narrative is the result of a journey through the corners of Milan, a city that shares a very strong historical component with Inter, a symbol of tradition and innovation, culture and style and bases its future on its own values ??and character. The narrative also involved personalities from sport, entertainment and culture who have lent their faces to the story of this important change.

"The current logo will be used on the jerseys until the end of the championship, only to be replaced with the advent of the new sporting season by the new lines."
