With Gonzalo Higuain expected to leave the club in this transfer window, Pirlo, a former Italy international, is aiming to identify a striker he could lure to the Old Lady ahead of next season.

According to Sportitalia, the new boss is looking to build his team around Ronaldo, which has led to several rumours that Paulo Dybala could be sold.

Reports suggest that one of Pirlo's first projects is to lure another striker to the club, one that will be relied upon heavily throughout the 2020/21 campaign.

Former Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is believed to be on his shortlist, as is Real Madrid No. 9 Karim Benzema, although luring the Frenchman to Turin would be difficult, especially after his excellent season in Spain.

Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik is another target, and was also wanted by previous Bianconeri boss Maurizio Sarri, while PSV Eindhoven talent Donyell Malen is the youngest on the reported list.
