After controversial striker Mario Balotelli took offence to Giorgio Chiellini's comments about his attitude in the defender's new autobiography, the Italian pair sorted out their differences on an Italian TV show.
With his autobiography having been released recently, it surfaced that the Juventus centre-back had some harsh things to say about Italy teammate Balotelli, whom he said he once wanted to hit through the face.
The former Manchester City striker responded on Instagram by calling Chiellini out for not saying those words to his face, and labelled the veteran centre-back a "strange captain".
On Tuesday, however, they were happy to bury the hatchet on Italian TV show Le Iene, with the players connecting to the show via a video call.
Balotelli and Chiellini reportedly settled their differences in a conversation, which led to an apology from the Bianconeri star, who said he was "undecided whether to put criticism in, but not saying anything is bad, it seemed to me to be false and hypocritical. I take full responsibility. I made a mistake and I learned from it and will continue to learn from my mistakes every day."
Chiellini was also said to be shown a shirt that was sent to him as a present from Balotelli, along with a message reading: "Even if you unexpectedly stabbed me in the back, I still love you, man."
