A high-profile footballer, who was surprisingly left out of his country's 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, has insisted that drinking and smoking does not make him a bad person.
The Top 13 Goalscorers in Europe This Season
Inter Milan and midfielder Radja Nainggolan has received a lot of criticism for enjoying a drink and a smoke in his private life, things that are often frowned upon for top-level footballers.
However, the former Roma man feels people are too quick to judge him, and insisted that his habits do not make him a bad guy.
"I drink and smoke moderately," Nainggolan said, according to France Football.
"Even a footballer can smoke, even if it's not a 'normal' job. I can assure that I am a normal guy. I'm not a 'bad boy' like many people say. I can live a normal life."
