Juventus won the Coppa Italia with a 2-1 victory over Atalanta at Stadio Citta del Tricolore on Wednesday evening.
Weston McKennie and Gianluigi Buffon came into the Juve starting line-up, while Atalanta made two changes with Matteo Pessina and Jose Luis Palomino coming into the side.
Atalanta came close to taking an early lead in the third minute. Duvan Zapata took on Matthijs de Ligt and reached the by-line before squaring back for Jose Luis Palomino, but Gianluigi Buffon made the save with his legs from point-blank range.
It was an end to end start to the game, with the ball moving with pace across the field. Zapata then controlled with his back to goal, turned Giorgio Chiellini and hit the side-netting.
With 20 minutes gone, De Ligt played a poor back-pass and Zapata pounced, but Buffon saw the danger and rushed out to parry.
Remo Freuler's angled drive then flashed across the face of goal and grazed the far post as Atalanta continued to up the momentum.
Juve took the lead on the half-hour mark against the run of play. Juan Cuadrado won the ball back, Weston McKennie spread it for Dejan Kulusevski, whose left-foot curler bent beautifully into the far corner.
Atalanta equalised in the 42nd minute. Freuler dispossessed Rabiot and laid it back across to Ruslan Malinovskyi, who smacked it into the roof of the net from the edge of the area.
Gollini then made a huge save to keep the scores level. Federico Chiesa reached the by-line, pulled it back for Kulusevski and Gollini palmed it off the line at the near post.
Chiesa then hit the post after being released by a Cristiano Ronaldo back-heel flick as his right-foot curler thumped the far post of an open goal.
The Bianconeri took the lead in the 72nd minute. Chiesa cut inside from the left, played a one-two with Kulusevski and swept it past Gollini from eight yards with the inside of his left boot.
Rafael Toloi was sent off for Atalanta to add insult to injury as Juve claimed their first major silverware of the season.
