Antonio Conte seemingly fired a dig at Jose Mourinho when explaining why he turned down the Tottenham Hotspur job.
Conte was said to be close to taking over at the north London outfit to replace Mourinho, who was sacked in April following a string of poor results.
However, reports have since suggested that talks between the Italian tactician and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy broke down last week, and it appears that Conte was not convinced by the Spurs project, while he also insisted money was never the issue.
"Even the top clubs I coached were never the favourites when I arrived. However, if there's something that doesn't convince me I prefer not to accept, regardless of the money."
With Conte and Mourinho having had words for each other in the past, the former looks to have reignited the feud after seemingly taking issue with the Portuguese's methods.
