Angry Mario Balotelli Kicks Camera After Being Substituted

A furious Mario Balotelli, known for his controversial ways, lost his temper when he was substituted in a Serie A fixture on Saturday, angrily kicking a photographer's camera into some advertising hoardings.

Things have gone relatively smoothly for the striker since his return to Italian football in August, but he made headlines for the wrong reasons following Brescia's 3-1 away loss to Genoa on Saturday.

After his number came up on the substitution board, Balotelli, 29, took his anger out on a camera on a tripod as he made his way off the field for Alfredo Donnarumma.

The former Marseille forward failed to make an impact on the game, and was quite clearly angered to be replaced by manager Eugenio Corini.

The photographer whose equipment was targeted has since addressed Balotelli's actions on Instagram.

"When Mr Balotelli was called back to the bench, he used the camera like a football and kicked it against the advertising boards. The ballboy who saw it happen immediately called me to explain," he said, according to the Daily Mail

"I found the camera and the booster was visibly damaged (the casing was smashed) and the camera no longer worked.

"Imagine taking your frustrations out on someone's tools of business!"

Balotelli has scored once in four games since his return to his hometown club.
