Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso has praised Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, saying is very mature for his age.
The 21-year-old striker joined the Italian giants from Lille for a reported €70 million ((R1.3 billion) earlier in this transfer window, and made his official debut for the club on the weekend.
With Osimhen coming on as a second-half substitute in Napoli's 2-0 away win over Parma on Sunday afternoon, Gattuso has since admitted he has been impressed with the forward's attitude, saying he operates like a much more experienced player.
"I was struck by Osimhen's serious attitude," he said, according to Reuters.
"He hasn't forgotten where he came from and the sacrifices he made.
"He built himself up on his own, and I congratulate him for his will and desire.
"He is a young lad with the head of a 40-year-old, I hope he doesn't make mistakes, and doesn't change his attitude."
Osimhen scored 18 goals and assisted a further six strikes in 38 matches for Lille last season.
